3rd Street Tap House
About This Spot
Stepping into 3rd Street Tap House feels like slipping into a beloved local retreat—a spot where the rhythm of Bardstown slows just enough to invite easy conversation and simple pleasures. The space is warm and welcoming, humming quietly with the friendly buzz of neighbors gathering to share a drink or unwind after the day. Whether it’s a calm early evening or a livelier weekend night, the pace here allows you to drift comfortably between moments of relaxed reflection and spirited connection.
The bar itself is a well-curated expression of craft beer and bourbon culture, showcasing offerings that invite discovery without overwhelming. From smooth, familiar lagers to richer, more playful pours, the drink selection nods thoughtfully to the region’s storied spirit traditions. You might find yourself savoring a richly balanced Kentucky Bourbon Ale or tempted by a cocktail with just the right splash of local flavor, all the while soaking in the easy camaraderie that feels like an extension of the community itself.
Though the Tap House no longer serves food inside, the experience often extends beyond the bar counter. Pop-up food trucks grace the back patio on select nights, adding a lively aroma and a bite of local flair to the mix. Music—whether from a DJ spinning upbeat tunes or live performances—ensures the atmosphere is never static. It’s a place where every visit can surprise you with a fleeting human moment: a shared laugh at the bar, a first taste of a new brew, or a friendly greeting from one of the hosts who know the names and stories that make this corner of Bardstown feel like home.
3rd Street Tap House shines quietly as a spot where familiarity and discovery coexist, welcoming both visitors wandering through town and locals looking for a steady, heartfelt place to gather. Here, the pulse of the neighborhood beats gently beneath a shared sense of good company and the pleasure of a well-poured drink.

Didn't have food, but came Monday night for some drinks. Our bartender, I believe her name was Abby? She was excellent. We all really enjoyed our time there. The craft beer selection and bourbon selection were good. Would come again.

Perfect little neighborhood bar. Nice selection of craft beers. Fun space and friendly service. My second time here. Might have to make this a regular stop when I visit Bardstown.

No longer serving food, but had an incredible food truck out back when I showed up. DJ(Miss Toogood) and Kelli always bring the the best energy you could ask for. Whether you’re the only patron or just part of the crowd. Come see all the lovely ladies at the Taphouse, whether you’re just visiting town or looking to find a new home bar, they’ve got you covered.

A great bar, actually my favorite in the area and I would recommend.

Good variety here for early or late night. They had a DJ up front and a singer in the back. I don't remember that much but I'd say give it a shot if you're near here. Must've been good since I can't remember
